Scholarship Program
The Hands Helping Haiti Scholarship Program is helping to develop young ethical leaders, giving them the hope and skills to transform their country, raising it from the cycle of poverty and corruption that they have experienced to this point of their lives. We are glad to share with you the current scholarship recipients. Many of these students started with the HHH sponsored school in Savanette in kindergarten. Some joined the Savannette school after being forced from violent areas of the country.

Thanks to your generous intervention, I was able to pursue my Nursing studies with serenity, focus, and motivation. You have enabled me to take an important step in my academic and personal life. For this, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. During this second year, I deepened my knowledge in subjects such as technical nursing care, pathology and pharmacology, and health. I also had the opportunity to participate in several hospital internships, which allowed me to put my acquired knowledge into practice, develop my sense of responsibility, and my empathy towards patients.

I remain deeply grateful to your organization, not only for the material and financial support, but above all for the trust and opportunity you have given me. This encourages me to persevere, remain disciplined, and give my best.

Helene
Helene is starting her 4th year in administration at the Universite Americaine Des Sciences Modernes D’Haiti (UNASOMOH) - American University of Modern Sciences of Haiti.
During this year, I had the privilege of following a course in "Haitian Economy", an enriching experience both academically and personally. This course allowed me to better understand the economic challenges that the country is facing, all while highlighting the resources and opportunities to be valued in order to promote real development. I have become aware of the importance of a well-structured economy to improve living conditions, reduce inequalities and create sustainable jobs. It appears to me today that it is essential to promote coherent public policies, to invest in key sectors such as agriculture, education and small and medium enterprises.
Sendyna
Sendyna is beginning her 2nd year in medicine at Episcopal University of Haiti (UNEPH).
I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your precious support in my medical studies. During. my first year, I had the chance to study fascinating subjects such as anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry. I also completed a training and immersion at Saint-Michel Hospital, where I gained meaningful human and professional experience. This opportunity allowed me to better understand the importance of serving the community. I am truly thankful and deeply admire the work you do to train young people and build a brighter future for our country.
Ponyon

I express my sincere gratitude for giving me the opportunity to pursue my studies. I have always been convinced that education is an essential tool for building a solid future. After obtaining my baccalaureate, I wish to specialize in civil engineering, a sector crucial for infrastructure development and improving living conditions. Once my studies are completed, I hope to become an asset to my country and actively contribute to its reconstruction, participating in concrete projects such as roads, bridges, sustainable buildings, and social housing. My dream is to provide useful, appropriate, and accessible solutions. Pursuing my studies is therefore a long-term investment for me, guided by genuine passion and a desire to serve.

Rose Mania
Rose also graduated from HHH’s sponsored Moderne School of Savanette . She will be entering medicine at the Episcopal University of Haiti (UNEPH).
I want to continue my studies because I am convinced that knowledge is the key to acting, understanding, and helping effectively. My goal is to become a doctor, a profession that requires rigorous and in-depth training. Continuing my university studies is therefore an essential step for me to acquire the necessary scientific and human skills, but also to develop myself personally and one day contribute to the well-being of the most vulnerable. I hope to use my skills and knowledge to help disadvantaged people, particularly in areas where access to care is particularly difficult. My goal is to become an engaged physician capable of caring for patients but also supporting them in all aspects of their health. I also wish to participate in prevention and health education actions, in order to contribute to improving the quality of life of the population.”
Dalandie
Dalandie is a graduate of HHH’s sponsored Moderne School of Savanette entering her 1st year in medicine at the Episcopal University of Haiti (UNEPH).
I wish to pursue my studies because I deeply believe that education is the key to personal autonomy and social change. Higher education in medicine will allow me to acquire solid scientific skills, professional rigor, and a sense of ethics essential for practicing medicine with humanity and effectiveness. Furthermore, in a country like Haiti, the need for healthcare is critical. I want to be an agent of change; studying is preparing me to be useful, to take concrete actions to improve the health of my community, alleviate their suffering, and give back to those in need.
After graduating, I plan to apply my medical knowledge and skills to serve my community. I wish to work in healthcare facilities where the need for services is significant, especially in rural and underserved areas, in order to contribute to improving access to care for all. I also want to get involved in public health awareness campaigns to prevent diseases and promote healthy lifestyles. In the longer term, I wish to continue my training and pursue specializations to be even more effective and to be able to handle complex cases. My goal is to become a competent, compassionate, and dedicated professional capable of making a difference in the lives of patients.
Kenlove
Kenlove graduated from HHH’s sponsored Moderne School of Savanette. He is entering the University of Notre Dame of Haiti in Jacmel to study economics and accounting.
I thank you for offering me this opportunity to continue my studies. From a very young age, I was taught that education is the key to everything. For this reason, and many others, I wish to continue my studies to go further in what I started at school. I want to learn more, discover new things, and above all, prepare myself for a career that I enjoy. That is why I want to pursue my studies in economics and then specialize in accounting. I know that the job market demands many more skills, and I want to give myself a much better chance of success. From my experience, it's not just about sitting in a classroom, but also about growing, gaining confidence and maturity. I want to learn much more in my life, and this opportunity would give me the chance to become the person I've dreamed of being since I was a child. After graduation, I will be an asset to my country, contributing to financial aid efforts and finding employment. I would also like to help others, perhaps by training or mentoring their projects. I want my studies to be truly useful in life, not just on paper.

Davenchy
Davenchy is among the first graduating class from the HHH’s sponsored Moderne School of Savanette. He will be entering his first year of medicine at the Episcopal University of Haiti (UNEPH).
My ambition is to become a competent and committed doctor, close to the reality of the Haitian people. Studying medicine is not only about acquiring theoretical knowledge but also about preparing to save lives, prevent diseases and strengthen our health system, which is too often neglected in my country, Haiti. Once I graduate, I plan to actively contribute to my country’s healthcare system and establish myself as a doctor in disadvantaged areas where quality professionals are scarce. I also want to participate in awareness campaigns for long-term mobile clinics and provide training for other young people in the healthcare field.
